Dear Mrs and Mr, Dear Friends of Dance,
In the summer scenery of one of the most popular Polish spas - Lądek Zdrój, in stunningly beautiful Kłodzko Valley, from eight years took place International Dance Festival Ladek Ballet Summer. The Festival gains continuosly aknowledgement and becomes more and more popular both in the country and abroad as a event with great artistic, educational, turistic as well as recreational value for DANCE enthusiasts apart from age.
In this year we invite you for nine edition of two weeks intercourse with art, fun, dance, jouful and "sun" in Ladek Zdrój - International Dance Festival IX Ladek Summer Ballet.
The initiator of the festival is the esteemed promoter of Polish opera and ballet art, Sławomir Pietras, director of leading Polish opera scenes in Warsaw, Poznań, Łódź, and Wrocław. He initiated this event in close cooperation with the mayor of Ladek Zdrój, Mr. Adam Szmidt, and continues to serve as patron, great advocate, and regular participant of the Ladek Ballet Summer.
Thanks to the engagement of our American partner, Mr. Jerzy Golek, president of "Cultural Interchanges" and dance instructor from Pennsylvania, for the past three years, the festival has acquired the characteristics of an International Dance Festival, and instructors and young dancers from the United States and different Europe countries, have begun to travel to Lądek Zdrój.
For the July weeks Ladek Zdrój will become the dance center of whole Poland, gathering the tousands of dance passionates. Samba mixes with funky, hip-hop with belly dance, both the ballet and contemporary dance presents. During the dance evenings it is possible to see characteristic and modern dances- the workshops offer more than 40 different technique.
As weel as this international and intercultural are proffesional instructors from many sides of Poland and from all over the world who present the same high artistic level and love to dance. Some of them are such as : prof. Teresa Memches (Poland)- the classical dance, Ewa Głowacka (Poland) - ballet repertoire, Beata Wrzosek-Dopierała (Poland) - classical and contemporary dance, Michelle Jones-Wurtz (USA) - broadway jazz dance, Alexandr Azarkevitch - contemporary dance, Ricardo Marques (Brazil) - capoeira, Ruta Kambli (India) - indian dance, Alassane Wat (France) - funky, Alba Holder (Cuba) - salsa cubana, Edilson Ribeiro de Lima (Brazil) - clubbing latino dance, Eric Alira (Burkina Faso) - afro, Piotr Piotrowski (Poland) - flamenco, Łukasz Słaniewski and Barbara Zielińska (Poland) - salsa hip-hop, Robert Nieznański (Poland) - breake dance and many more...
As usuall in Ladek Zdrój you can expect plenty of attractions and possibilities to intercourse with dance: performances of professional ballet ensembles, the evenings of young choreographers and concert wich will be create from the performances of the most talented workshops participants who will show they own choreography especially prepared for this occasion.
